Writer of dark horror, sci-fi, bizarro. Lives in Leeds, UK, with his girlfriend Heidi and cat, Eric. Likes a drink, a bit too much. Loves films, books and cheese. Considers himself sporty, if this means sitting in front of the telly and shouting a lot. Has ambitions.

A.J Kirby is the author of three further novels; The Magpie Trap (to be published by Youwriteon.com with Arts Council funding in time for Christmas 2008), When Elephants walk through the Gorbals (which was third place winner in the 2008 Luke Bitmead Writers' Bursary competition from Legend Press) and Leap Year (which he is currently re-writing).

His portfolio also includes over thirty published short-stories. Publication credits include Nemonymous 8: Cone Zero, Graveside Tales, Sein und Werden, Jupiter SF magazine (forthcoming), Skrev Press, New Voices in Fiction magazine, Underground magazine, Necrology magazine, Monkey Kettle, Golden Visions, and Champagne Shivers.

He was runner-up in the 2008 Huddersfield Literature Festival creative writing competition, and this year was also short-listed for the Cinnamon Press short fiction prize and the Mere Literary Festival prize.

Derek Gunn is the author of the Vampire Apocalypse series, widely praised on both sides of the Atlantic.

The first two books in the series, A World Torn Asunder and Descent into Chaos, are available at online book sellers or can be ordered from your favourite book store if they don’t have it in stock. The third VA book, Vampire Apocalypse: Fallout, is due out in 2009. Derek is currently working on a new stand alone novel.

I'm a poet, performer, actor, and professional haunter. I love horror, heavy metal, clowns and pirates. I performed all over the East Coast and as far south as Kentucky, where I hold the dubious distinction of being kicked off stage by long-distance telephone.
